Life Cycle: Perennial. Reproduces by seed and rhizomes.

How To Identify Quackgrass

yellowish to white and root at the nodes. The rhizomes vary between 2 and 8 inches deep depending on soil conditions and may extend 2 to 6 feet in length. Stems are upright and branched at the crown.

 How to Kill Quackgrass

During late spring and late summer an application of sulfosulfuron will normally kill quackgrass. Increased fertilizing and mowing will also help control Quackgrass.
