How To Identify Red Thread

Irregular to circular, ragged, light tan to pinkish patches of turf 2 to 12 inches wide develop during prolonged humid weather. The spots may merge to form large bleached tan or yellowish scorched areas. Fungal threads around 0.25-inch long protrusion through the leaves. The threads are initially coral pink and later turn dry, brittle and dark red.

 How to get rid of Red Thread

Fertilize, water, and mow your lawn regularly. Make sure when you are mowing that you bag your clippings. Fungicides that will help cure Red Thread include fenarimol, myclobutanil, propiconazole, anilazine, and chlorothalonil.
